ABOUT

I’ve been self-employed for the better part of 25 years, always in and around New York City.

My earliest professional background is as a writer and musician. Those paths merged in the form of my first big job, as Editor In Chief of Guitar magazine, at age 30.

Afterwards, I launched a sole proprietorship developing content in various media for a client base that grew to include healthcare, tech, public policy, legal marketing, real estate, finance, and music education.

The lion’s share of my work today is as Deputy Director of the Senate Presidents’ Forum, a non-profit that programs educational events for the leaders of U.S. state legislatures. It’s enormously rewarding to serve this ideologically diverse group, locate common ground, and identify potential solutions to critical issues. I love the work and can sleep at night knowing we contribute to smarter public policy.
